Serious games are really big in the Agile software development community. They are used to give people first hand experience of problems and their solutions. A well conducted experiential training session is much more effective than any presentation could ever be.
A significant part of the people that use open source software never contribute anything back to the community. Often they know that they should do so, but their colleagues, or bosses haven't been convinced, or they don't see how their small contribution could be worth the effort of learning how to contribute.
Imagine we could make a game system that companies can use as a framework to create merchandise.
Imagine that this game system could be used to explain your colleagues why they should be contributing too.
Imagine that this merchandise would be collectible with a much longer life time than most traditional merchandise...
