Contribution Sprints

What is a sprint?

A sprint is a get-together for focused work on a project. Sprints are an important part of Drupal's growth, and are also a great opportunity to get involved, because others are on hand to help you contribute. DrupalCon Prague includes a full day of sprints on Friday, the 27. September. Come and collaborate in person with hundreds of other Drupal community members. And, folks curious about mentoring here at Drupalcon Portland or organizing their own local sprint can come to the session Stories & strategies: turning regular people into mentors of mentors.

Views in Drupal Core sprint

In case you haven't heard yet, Views is included in Drupal 8 core. Come to the code sprint Friday and help the Views team's code ninjas convert core listings to views, improve Views' documentation, and polish the Views codebase to core standards.

Multilingual sprint

The Drupal 8 Multilingual Initiative has accomplished much, and has some big things to finish. Come to the sprint Friday and be part of the D8MI team as we integrate with configuration, improve usability, and make Drupal 8 multilingual awesomeness.

Twig in Drupal Core sprint

Drupal 8 has a new theme engine: Twig. Come to the code sprint Friday and help convert all theme functions and template files into twig templates, consolidate similar theme functions, and polish up the markup that Drupal produces.

Drupal.org Documentation Team Sprint

The main thrust of the sprint will be to move forward on Drupal 8 documentation but it will also be a great opportunity to learn more about the Drupal.org docs. It's definitely an event where everyone can make a contribution, no matter what your background is.

WSCCI (Web Services) Sprint

We have this great new router system; it's time to port our page callbacks over. Let's try and close a whole bunch of the conversion issues in Prague.
