Outside of Drupal there are a slew of fantastic front end tools for us to work with that can make our lives as front end developers much easier. One of my favorite is Grunt, a Node.js powered task runner.

What makes Grunt so fantastic, you may ask? Well Grunt can handle just about anything you throw at it, from compiling your Sass+Compass to linting your JavaScript to minifying your images to live reloading of your page to running Phantom JS and much more!
