Frequently Asked Questions
What's included in the cost of a DrupalCon ticket?
Registration for DrupalCon gives you full conference access to Keynotes, Sessions, and BOFs on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and entry to the contribution sprint on Friday. Attendees receive lunch and coffee breaks each day, a commemorative DrupalCon t-shirt, and access to the Exhibit Hall.
I need a letter of invitation in order to obtain a visa for travel
The Drupal Association is happy to issue an official letter of invitation to those attendees requesting one to obtain a visa for travel. We urge anyone whose country requires a visa to travel to the Czech Republic to apply for one as early as possible.
What forms of payment are accepted?
This DrupalCon website uses the OGONE payment gateway, which accepts a variety of payment methods, including Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Mister Cash, and American Express debit and credit cards.
Alternately, if you select the "Pay by Invoice" option at checkout, you will receive instructions in which you can pay for your oder offline via PayPal. Due to international banking authorization and fees, we are unable to accept physical checks as payment.
My organization requires that I pay for my registration with an invoice
DrupalCon attendees can now generate their own invoices at checkout. Simply complete our registration process, and on the final payment page, select "Payment Method - Invoice". You will receive an email with instructions to pay your invoice via PayPal or wire transfer. Sorry, we do not accept cash as a form of payment for DrupalCon.
Accepted PayPal payment methods:
- Instant transfer from your bank account (if eligible)
- PayPal Credit (Bill Me Later, PayPal Extras Card, or PayPal Smart Connect)
- Debit card
- Credit card
- eCheck (a delayed transfer from your bank account)
Invoices MUST be paid by 20 September 2013 to pick up your badge.
Help! My order is still marked as pending, though my wire or paypal transaction went through.
Not to worry! If your order is still marked as pending, simply forward your payment confirmation to our help desk. It may simply be a situation where our team was unable to match your payment to your site order, and this information is helpful in making that connection.
What is VAT and am I exempt?
VAT (Value Added Tax) is an indirect tax applicable to the sale of goods and services. This tax is paid by the customer.
VAT is calculated based on the location of where the service or training is provided (in this instance, the Czech Republic), and not the location of the person purchasing goods or services. For this reason all purchases made on the DrupalCon site are inclusive of VAT, which means no person is exempt. How can I claim my VAT refund?
If you visiting from outside of the Czech Republic, you may be eligible for a refund of VAT paid for the conference.
