Opportunity:
Are you ready to take on the role of CTO with one of the fastest growing life science technology companies on the planet? Do you have passion and demonstrated experience for leading creative development teams and organizations in the development of advanced Drupal applications? If so, this is the opportunity you have been training for throughout your career.
As the CTO you will be a critical part of the senior management team, directly reporting to the CEO. You will work directly with our partner Acquia, managing senior architects and developers. You will influence and control the long-range direction of our Drupal life science platform, working closely with the COO and our technical team.
You will be responsible for everything related to our organization's technology function, managing the internal technical team, maintaining technology standards and implementing an enterprise-wide technology infrastructure to support our current customer base of 45+ pharmaceutical and medical device clients.
As a long-time Drupalist you will ensure that the MMIS PaaS applications meet Drupal standards and you will constantly stay connected to the maintain stream advances in technology and next generation Drupal platforms. You will direct the activities necessary to keep our enterprise infrastructure running seamlessly, efficiently, and effectively.
Your extensive experience as a Drupalist, reputation for developing and launching PaaS Drupal applications and your ability to solve problems creatively will be the basic building blocks for performing a variety of tasks and accomplishing your goals. You will lead and direct the work of others while and having a wide degree of latitude.
Your advanced degree and at least 15 years of experience in the information technology field, demonstrated expertise in developing and launching Drupal applications from D5 through D7 make you the perfect candidate for this position.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred. Deep experience architecting web solutions
, PHP coding, SQL administration and optimization, and Unix/Linux or Windows server administration is required. Recent experience managing technical and support teams. Exceptional problem solving skills, the demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure, self-motivated initiative, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage and motivate both on-shore and offshore teams.
